Chimpanzee tracking/trekking

Chimpanzee tracking/trekking is Semuliki National Park’s interesting experience any nature lover shouldn’t miss to be. The 4 hours’ primate adventure offers you a lifetime opportunity to enjoy a close encounter with chimps while in their natural habitat. In addition, you will also sight primates like baboons, monkeys and several birds.

Wildlife/game viewing

Semuliki NP is an ideal game viewing spot in Uganda, offering the best of day and night game drives. Night game drives Semuliki NP lets you see lots of nocturnal species including pottos, leopards, bush babies and others.

Visit the Sempaya Hot Springs

Hot springs tour in Semuliki National Park is all about exploring the Sempaya Hot Springs, the world’s powerful hot spring. The hot spring is comprised of female (Nyasimbi) and male (Bitende). This natural wonder is known for its powerful boiling rate with temperatures rising up to 100 degrees Celsius and interestingly, you can have a chance to boil an egg or banana- make sure you go with some for experiment purposes.

Birding

Semuliki National Park is one of Uganda’s birders paradises, housing all 441 bird species with several trails exposing birders to diversity of birds. The park’s bird check-list include Maxwell’s black weavers, Yellow throated nicator, Red rumped tinker bird, Nkulengu rail, Lemon billed crombec, Leaf love, White crested hornbill, Swamp palm bulbul, African piculet and Orange cheeked waxbill.

Nature walks

Semuliki offers exceptional hiking/nature walks, providing nature lovers a chance to interact closely with nature. Each of the trails has unique thing to offer from colorful butterflies, birds, wildlife, floral species and more. There are several trails to explore and experience including 11kms Red monkey track, 13km Kirumia trail (8hours), Sempaya nature trail/8kms and more.
