A Safari to Remember On A Self-Driven Field Trip

Nothing much I can talk about the rent a car in Uganda only to appreciate their service, thank you Nsubuga for the service provided, the way handled us from the first time I got into contact with you up to the end of our safari. All the members I travelled with sent their gratitude to you, they enjoyed to the fullest. In case you are there and you want to travel to Uganda/Rwanda on a self-drive,  don’t  take a lot of time searching the net looking for a car hire company to hire from, just get into direct contact to info@carhireinuganda.com  or call direct on +25670559853 you will never regret.

I hired a car from rent a car in Uganda on a self-drive safari to tour most of the interesting attractions in Uganda, this company was referred to us by a friend who travelled using the car hired from the same car rental company in Uganda. I fall in love with the services they offer including their fleets, and they have well organized safari packages. I discussed with my colleagues who I was travelling with. I sent them an inquiry indicating when to travel, the number of days to use the car and the type of car we needed. We received a quick response indicating the quotation and the type of car that will best fit our budget with the number of people to travel with.

The company reserved us a supper custom at a fee of usd70 per day without a driver, we were going to use it for 9 days to explore the pearl of Africa. We realized that the supper custom will be the most suitable car to us since we were travelling as a group. After agreeing with the companies’ terms and condition of hiring, we were ready to pay half of the money for them to book for us the car and then the balance to be paid upon arrival at the Entebbe international airport. This was fantastic because most companies prefer full payment so that they can reserve the car for you. Most of their fleets are new models, well serviced and on unlimited millage so you are well confident of the type of the car you are going to hire. They advised us to hire the car with a driver but we most liked to drive ourselves, only we requested them to advice on the alternative route in accordance to our itinerary.

On arrival at the airport we met Nsubuga at the airport with a placard reading my name, he welcomed and greeted us, after we cleared the balance and he handled the car to us, we checked it well and everything we agreed upon was put into consideration. We loved the car because it was in good condition with AC, open roof, with enough space for our luggage, since were booked everything ourselves, we drove direct to our pre-booked accommodation for refreshments and later dinner and an overnight.

On our second day of the safari, we woke up very early and took breakfast, after we embarked on a transfer to Murchison falls national park, our drive took us through Luweero and Nakasongola, however we branched to Ziwa rhino sanctuary to track the white rhinos at the sanctuary, we were charged only usd40 per person for tracking, after the tracking, we took lunch and later we drove to the park, we arrived in the late evening at the park, later checked into our pre-booked accommodation for diner and an overnight. In the morning on third day of our self-drive safari, we embarked on the game viewing in the northern part of the park were we blessed with a great opportunity we viewed various species of wildlife including lion, elephant, buffaloes, giraffe, warthogs, water buck, among many others plus various species of birds. In our open roof car we were able to see very many species of animals in the far distance and photography was good. After this wonderful activity, we drove our car to the lodge for lunch. After we went for a launch cruise on the Nile River, here we viewed more games that lived and feed on the lake like many schools of hippos just meters from the boat and as well as crocodiles, on the banks we were able to see elephants and buffaloes. After this, we went back to our lodge for relaxation as we wait for dinner and an overnight.

The following day after breakfast we passed by the top of the falls which is a wonderful site and after we proceeded to Kibale forest national park in the south western part of Uganda a home to over 13 species of primates. We were happy to track the chimpanzee our closest relative of man in their nature habitat and later in the evening we enjoyed the nature walk in the forest. On the 6th day of the safari, we preceded to Queen Elizabeth national park a diversified park for a wide variety of animal species. At Queen we did game drive, launch cruise at the Kazinga channel and also we again tracked chimpanzees in the Kyambura gorge. From here, we departed to Bwindi impenetrable national park were we tracked the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Gorilla tracking was the climax of our safari and all of us couldn’t wait to track the gorillas. The day begun with the briefing from the park warden about the all process of gorilla tracking, we were assigned to the group to track, we were lucky that all of us booked in the same gorilla family. After, we escorted the ranger guide to the forest were we met these giants. We tracked for 5 hours until when we finally come across these apes. We were only allowed one hour with them, we took as many photos and videos as possible with the gorillas, and when we went back every one was very eager to view the photos and videos we took while with the gorillas. We did not find any challenge with the car we hired, the only problem we encountered was a flat tyre but we called the staff who directed one of their mechanics around the town we were, and within an hour, he come and replaced the car with another tyre.  We arrived safely and we gave the car to the driver and later we took our flight back home. Everyone was much excited; we enjoyed our safari to the fullest.  We never regretted getting our rental from Car Hire in Uganda with the courtesy of our self-drive vehicle. Traveling as a group is a good idea because you share everything together. We hope to come back very soon probably nest year.
